1. Fashion Designer: Rasna Shrestha (MU_CE)
International Fashion Designer Rasna Shrestha, who co-founded the brand ‘MU_CE’ under ‘Fashionalaya’ boutique in her hometown Kathmandu



Ø Why did you decide to become a fashion designer?

• I always loved changing my styles n try new designs.

Ø How do you define Fashion and Fashion Design?
• Fashion is what everyone follows and fashion design is what creative designer follows.

Ø What are the main design elements that you included in your fashion collection for FashionMandu Runway show?
• Color textures and fabrics blended with beautiful accessories

Ø How do you present the main features and ideas of your designs for FashionMandu Runway Show to the audiences?
• It’s a mixture of beautiful color blended with nature. The secret will be revealed in the show.

Ø What are your plans for the future?
• To spread my brand Mu_Ce all over the world.

2. Fashion Designer: Anya Hurwood
Experienced in designing for boutiques in Singapore and Slovenia, Anya Hurwood Collections feature strong colors, edgy cut and bold accessories, making a powerful style statement.



Ø Why did you decide to become a fashion designer?

• That was the only job I ever wanted. Lets say Its my passion to become a Fashion Designer

Ø How do you define Fashion and Fashion Design?
• For me it’s life style and I love it.

Ø What are the main design elements that you included in your fashion collection for FashionMandu Runway show?
• Metal

Ø What were the major constraints in terms of fashion design when you created garments for FashionMandu Runway show?
• Time. Never enough.

Ø What is it like working with FashionMandu Runway Show?
• Very good organized team. Everything taking care of.

3. Fashion Designer: Rochelle Moore Design
Rochelle Moore is an emerging fashion designer and dressmaker who specialises in one of a kind and custom-made outfits. Rochelle’s designs are unique and handmade.



Ø How do you define Fashion and Fashion Design?

• Fashion is defined by style and should reflect one's personality. I always design to a specific target audience in a way that will enable them to feel confident and beautiful.

Ø What are the main design elements that you included in your fashion collection for FashionMandu Runway show?
• I always love to incorporate feathers into my designs; they are like a signature on each collection. For my FashionMandu collection, I have paired the feathers with gold chain and mixed in sequins and some beautiful printed fabric.

Ø How do you present the main features and ideas of your designs for FashionMandu Runway Show to the audiences?
• My ideas and inspirations for FashionMandu Runway Show are reflected through my use of flattering silhouettes, beautiful fabrics and trims. I want whoever is wearing my outfits to feel beautiful and unique.

Ø What are your plans for the future?
• I would love to have more time in the future to build up my label and start selling my designs in boutiques. Eventually I would like to work on my label full time and see how far I can go. For now I am enjoying building my portfolio by doing lots of photoshoots and runway shows like FashionMandu.

4. Fashion Designer: Suruchira Designs
A Fashion graduate from Lord Buddha Education Foundation and has worked as a designer for various label in her hometown Kathmandu, Nepal. Suruchira believes that a women dress should be like a barbed wire fence: serving its purpose without obstructing the view.

Ø Why did you decide to become a fashion designer?
• Passionate about designs and artwork lead me to become a fashion designer.

Ø How do you define Fashion and Fashion Design?
• Fashion is an art. It reflects who you are enhancing your personality.

Ø What are the main design elements that you included in your fashion collection for FashionMandu Runway show?
• I have used light pastel colors and light flowy fabrics with simple but elegant cuts.

Ø How do you present the main features and ideas of your designs for FashionMandu Runway Show to the audiences?
• Overall my collections will be based on spring/summer.

Ø What is it like working with FashionMandu Runway Show?
• It is like working with perfectionist. A great team with a vision to stand globally in fashion market.

5. Fashion Designer: Lena Kasparian Boutique
Lena Kasparian, an independent Australian Award Winning businesswomen, Retailer, Fashion Designer and Creative Director. Lena’s creativity exhibits high-end fashion such as stunning evening gowns, cocktail dresses and custom made suits.



Ø Why did you decide to become a fashion designer?

• My family was already in the business so it was inevitable, I realised it was my destiny to be a designer and have a career that I was so passionate about.

Ø How do you define Fashion and Fashion Design?
• Fashion is style and Fashion Design is a creation.

Ø How do you present the main features and ideas of your designs for FashionMandu Runway Show to the audiences?
• The design will speak for them self.

Ø What are the main design elements that you included in your fashion collection for FashionMandu Runway show?
• Elegance and sophistication with a bit of sparkle

Ø What are your plans for the future?
• The future holds a lot of surprises. I am excited to continue with my legacy and expand in my industry and create more products and lines.
