Free Eye Surgery Camp Restores Sight for Over 150 Elderly and Indigent Citizens in Kapilvastu

Kapilvastu. Thanedar Chaudhary of Maharajganj Municipality-11 Chauthattha, who had lost his vision for a long time, was overjoyed to regain his sight after surgery. On August 15, he was taken to the basic hospital via transportation provided by the municipality after cataracts were detected during a preliminary eye examination camp organized at a convenient location near his home.

Chaudhary, 70, appeared extremely happy to regain his sight when the bandages were removed after the surgery. He said, "I am getting to see a new world even at the age of death. What could be happier than this? In the past, one had to go to India for this treatment. Now, services are available at our doorstep. And that too, for free."
