Kathmandu. Exactly one year ago today, the course of Nepali politics changed. A storm came that shook the old political parties and established power centers that had been rooted for decades to their very foundations.
That storm was the Genji movement. In this short period of one year, the country has experienced major ups and downs. 76 people died, many were injured. Government and private houses and structures across the country were set on fire. The government led by KP Oli was overthrown and the interim government formed conducted elections.
