Dagnam Settlement Protection Plan Completed in Myagdi

Myagdi. A settlement protection plan has been constructed in Dagnam of Raghuganga Rural Municipality-4 in Myagdi. The landslide and river erosion that put Dagnam's settlement at risk have been controlled through the Irrigation and Water Resource Management Project Office, Pokhara.
Ward Chairman of Raghuganga Rural Municipality-4, Pravin Gurung, stated that retaining walls have been constructed at the foothills of Dagnam village, the foothills of Kanchigaun's Panakot, and along the banks of Kummakhola with a budget of Rs 30 million allocated by the federal government. "Dagnam village, situated on a steep slope, was at risk from landslides and erosion by the Kummakhola," he said, "After constructing gabion walls and retaining walls, the risk of landslides, floods, and erosion has decreased."
