One Year After Gen Z Protest, Reconstruction of Damaged Government Buildings Stalled

Kathmandu. The protest held on Bhadra 23 and 24, 2082, turned the country's main administrative center, Singha Durbar, and the President's Office, Shital Niwas, into ashes. After the government brutally suppressed the Gen Z protest on the 23rd with the support of police and administration, a more intense demonstration occurred on the 24th. During this, many government and private properties were vandalized and set on fire.
The dignified structures of the country, scorched by the heat of the protest, still stand as ugly ruins. Protesters had set fire to and vandalized various government offices, courts, and historical buildings. However, even after a year, these buildings, connected to the country's prestige, have not yet been reconstructed.
