Bhote koshi flood: 248 people from Lumbini province still missing

Kapilvastu, Sept 9: Two hundred and forty-eight people from various districts of Lumbini province are still unaccounted for due to the flash flood in the Bhotekoshi river in Rasuwa on August 26.

According to the Emergency Operation Center under the provincial government’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, Law, Industry, and Transport, among those missing in the devastating flood are 76 from Bardiya, 54 from Dang, 24 from Rolpa, 23 from Banke, 19 from Rupandehi, nine each from Palpa, Pyuthan and Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta West), eight from Arghakhanchi, seven from Gulmi, six from Kapilvastu, and four from Rukum East.
