Army Calls Former Minister Ghising for Chilime Hydropower Tunnel Rescue

Kathmandu. The Nepali Army has called former Energy Minister Kulman Ghising to assist in the rescue operation inside the tunnel of the Chilime Hydropower Project in Rasuwa.

The army has sought Ghising's help to provide technical coordination and suggestions necessary for the team of foreign experts to reach inside the power house. His secretariat informed on Wednesday that Ghising has left for Chilime Hydropower Project in a vehicle following the army's request. Rescue operations are underway in seven out of nine affected areas in Rasuwa and Nuwakot, which were impacted by the flood that came through the Bhote Koshi and entered the Trishuli River on Bhadra 10.
