Kathmandu. Communist Party of Nepal (UML) Secretary Mahesh Basnet has claimed that there is a game to use certain people from the Gen-Z movement to control the state's resources, means, and capabilities. Basnet said this while speaking at a program organized in Bhaktapur on Wednesday.
He questioned the role of the police administration, stating that even complaints filed by them against individuals involved in crime and those handed over to the police after arrest have not been acted upon. He claimed that the lack of action has created suspicion that the police themselves are involved in the incidents. He mentioned that significant damage was caused to police structures, including police stations, courts, vehicles, and weapons, during the Gen-Z demonstrations, and stated that it is a serious matter that no action can be taken against the culprits even in such a situation.
