Government Mobilizes Resources for Flood-Damaged Infrastructure Reconstruction

Kathmandu. The government is preparing to mobilize national and international resources for the reconstruction of physical infrastructure damaged by the recent floods in Rasuwa. Minister of Finance Dr. Ghanshyam Upadhyay stated that the government has prioritized immediate relief as well as long-term rehabilitation and reconstruction following the significant damage to life, property, and infrastructure caused by the floods.
Speaking at a discussion in the Parliament's Finance Committee, Finance Secretary Upadhyay asserted that the government is capable of mobilizing the necessary resources for reconstruction. According to him, a roadmap for reconstruction, including a detailed assessment of damage and losses, is being prepared. Assistance from various sectors for flood relief and reconstruction is ongoing.
