Government Surveys Affected Families for Temporary Housing

Kathmandu. The government has stated that it is conducting a survey to arrange temporary housing for those affected by the flood in the Bhote Koshi River and staying in holding centers in various districts, as per the wishes of the affected. Emergency holding centers were operated for the affected in the emergency situation. In the second phase, the Prime Minister's Office and Council of Ministers has stated that a survey has already begun to arrange separate temporary housing for each family within the next few weeks.
The Department of Urban Development and Building Construction under the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development has been conducting surveys since Tuesday, Bhadra 23, by deploying teams in the affected districts using 'Kobo Toolbox' through the 'Needs Assessment Form'.
