Rabi Lamichhane: Bhote Koshi Flood Not Just Natural Disaster, But Climate Crisis Burden

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane has stated that the devastating flood in Bhote Koshi cannot be called merely a natural disaster. Speaking on a special occasion in the House of Representatives meeting, Chairman Lamichhane said that the incident was damage caused by the unequal burden of climate crisis.

Chairman Lamichhane said, "Those who lost their lives in the Bhote Koshi flood cannot be said to have died in a natural disaster. They lost their lives due to the unequal burden of the climate crisis." He stated that countries like Nepal are suffering the punishment for crimes they did not commit in the name of climate change.
