High alert sounded in downstream areas after blockage of Kimrung rivulet

Pokhara, Sept 9: High alert has been raised in the downstream areas after the flow of the Kimrung rivulet in Kaski’s Annapurna Rural Municipality-11 suddenly decreased, fearing that a landslide at some place in the upstream might have blocked it.

The local administration last night publicly urged residents living near the Kimrung and Modi rivers to stay in safe places to avoid potential risks.
