'Gen Z' protest was a sudden movement. Because of this, tourists canceled their bookings. Actually, there was no reason to change or cancel travel plans, but suddenly there was a protest and the arrival of tourists stopped.
After the 'Gen Z' protest, we suffered two types of damage. First, due to the protest, the structures of hotels and restaurants were damaged. The tourism industry had to bear its direct brunt. Second, the main damage occurred over a period of one and a half months. After the protest, the spending by tourists who came, their trekking, hotel stays, and restaurant expenses significantly decreased.
