Lawmakers have suggested the government to sustainably manage displaced citizens from the BhoteKoshi flood in a safe location. In today's meeting of the House of Representatives, during the zero hour, they drew the government's attention to mobilize all mechanisms for the search and rescue of citizens who went missing in the flood on August 26, and to provide proper relief to those in the holding center.
Lawmaker Bidushi Rana stated that the Rasuwa disaster is a warning from the Himalayan region, urging for regular monitoring of glaciers and high-altitude risks, cross-border information exchange, and disaster-resilient infrastructure development.
