Lumbini Province Assembly Secretariat Publishes Notice of Ambika Kafle's Party Defection

Butwal. The Lumbini Province Assembly Secretariat has published a notice regarding the party defection of Ambika Kafle, a member of the Provincial Assembly from the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal. The notice regarding Kafle's party defection has been published in accordance with Section 35, Sub-section (920) of the Political Parties Act, 2073, and Rule 196 of the Lumbini Province Assembly Rules, 2079, as per the directive of the Speaker, while the Provincial Assembly session is not in progress.

Based on the decision and recommendation of the JSP Nepal Lumbini Province Assembly Parliamentary Party, the party's central committee had decided to expel Kafle from the Provincial Assembly membership. The party has accused Kafle of ignoring repeated opportunities to provide clarification and acting against the decisions of the party and the parliamentary party.
