Genji Movement Causes Widespread Damage to Koshi Province Government Structures

Biratnagar. During the Genji movement nationwide on Bhadra 23 and 24, 2082, widespread vandalism and arson occurred in government bodies and structures of Koshi Province. The structures damaged by arson and vandalism a year ago have still not been rebuilt.

The Chief Minister and Council of Ministers' Office of Koshi Province in Biratnagar is still covered with green tarpaulin. Preliminary studies indicate that the damaged building can be repaired and used. However, it appears that it will cost more than four crore rupees to make the burnt building usable again.
