Madhesi Parties Struggle for Existence After Elections

Kathmandu. Not only the traditional political forces of Nepal but also the parties that emerged from the Madhes rebellion have been badly hit in the general elections after the Janji movement.

These parties, which once had a monopoly on power and streets in the Madhes, are now struggling to survive. With their representation shrunk in parliament and growing frustration within the organization, the condition of Madhesi parties has become like a 'setting sun'.
