Sunsari's Damaged Structures Remain Unrepaired One Year After Gen Z Protest

Sunsari. One year after the Gen Z movement, damaged structures in the Inaruwa area of Sunsari have not returned to their original condition. On August 24 last year, during the movement, buildings, vehicles, and office materials in various municipalities of Sunsari were vandalized and set on fire. Offices of major political parties and leaders' houses were damaged.

In Sunsari, ward offices in all wards except 2, 7, 8, and 10 of Inaruwa Municipality were vandalized and set on fire. After the vandalism and arson, the municipality and some ward offices are functioning in a makeshift condition after patching, repair, and painting, while some ward offices are still in ruins. These wards are operating by renting rooms elsewhere.
