Indian PM Narendra Modi Visits Prambanan Temple Complex in Indonesia

Jakarta. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited the UNESCO World Heritage Site Prambanan temple complex in Indonesia. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto specially showed goodwill by accompanying Modi during this visit on Wednesday.

During the visit, both leaders unveiled a new plaque, announcing the commencement of the conservation and restoration project by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) within the temple complex. An agreement was reached between the two leaders during President Prabowo's state visit to India in 2025 regarding seeking Indian assistance for the restoration of the temples in the Prambanan complex.
