MPs Express Concern Over Impunity Due to Delayed Verdict Implementation

Kathmandu. MPs have expressed concern that impunity is developing as verdicts are being made but individuals are not receiving justice. This was stated by the MPs during a discussion on the 'Status of Verdict Implementation' in the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee of Parliament on Thursday. They also stated that the delay in the implementation of verdicts is tarnishing Nepal's reputation internationally.
"The executive implements the verdicts made by the judiciary," said MP Manish Khanal, "We also need to think if the implementation of verdicts can be improved by making the executive more responsible."
