MP Ankita Thakur Raises Concern Over Inhumane Healthcare Practices

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party MP Ankita Thakur has expressed serious objection to the inhumane act happening in the name of health treatment. Speaking in the House of Representatives meeting, she drew the attention of the House to a painful incident in Rasuwa where a woman was forced to give birth at the hospital gate due to lack of money.

Thakur said, 'Where money determines life and hope, a hospital ceases to be a hospital; it becomes merely a shop for bargaining.' Discussing the incident at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajbiraj, Rasuwa, she said that although the poor and destitute citizens there consider the hospital a temple and doctors as gods, humanity was insulted in the same hospital.
