JSP Nepal Internal Conflict Creates Political Crisis and Legal Complications in Lumbini Province

The internal conflict within JSP Nepal in Lumbini Province has created both political crisis and legal complications. The dispute, which began when Chief Minister Chetanarayan Acharya defied the party's directive during the vote of confidence on Bhadra 1, has now reached a stage where MPs may lose their seats and the matter has gone to court.
As Chief Minister Acharya was preparing to take the vote of confidence, JSP Nepal's Central General Secretary Surendra Kumar Jha had instructed his party's ministers and MPs in the provincial government to withdraw from the government and vote against it. However, the JSP Parliamentary Party decided to give the vote of confidence, disregarding the central directive. Santosh Kumar Pandey, the leader of the parliamentary party and a minister, argued that since the party's meeting had already decided to support the Chief Minister before the central directive arrived, they would stick to that decision.
