HoR meeting: Concern over a woman’s financial crisis leading to childbirth on footpath

Kathmandu, Sept 10: Members of the House of Representatives (HoR) have drawn attention of the government towards a woman’s compulsion to give birth to a child on a footpath in front of hospital. She was reported to have no money for managing delivery at the health facility in Rajbiraj, Saptari.

Speaking in the urgent hour of today’s HoR meeting, they commented that though the constitution has guaranteed fundamental rights related to basic health, it is unfortunate to see such situation in the country.
