Lahul. India's Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda will lay the foundation stone for the Centre for High Altitude Medicine and Public Health Research in Keylong, Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh on July 11, 2026.
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) under the Department of Health Research is establishing this center. It will upgrade ICMR's current field station in Keylong into a multidisciplinary research hub focused on high-altitude and climate-sensitive regions.
