One Dead in Oxygen Cylinder Explosion in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. One person has died in an oxygen cylinder explosion in Makalbari, Kathmandu. The cylinder exploded in a moving vehicle, and a pedestrian died after being hit by a piece of the cylinder, SP Pawan Bhattarai of the District Police Range Kathmandu told Ratopati.

The deceased has been identified as Bishnu Thapa, 46, a resident of Makalbari. He was rushed to Nepal Medical College in Jorpati for treatment after sustaining serious injuries from a piece of the cylinder.
