Rastriya Swatantra Party MP Krishna Hari Budhathoki Urges Government to Reconsider Two-Day Weekend Decision

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) MP Krishna Hari Budhathoki has pressured the government to immediately reconsider the decision to give holidays on Saturday and Sunday. Speaking at the House of Representatives meeting on Tuesday, RSP MP Budhathoki demanded that the government reconsider the decision to give two public holidays in the education and health sectors, stating that it was not correct from any side. His argument was that the government's decision in sensitive sectors like education and health was not practical and service-user friendly. Speaking at the meeting, MP Budhathoki said, 'We have received widespread complaints that the two-day weekend holiday implemented in the education and health sectors is not practical. This has caused students to wander and created problems in completing the curriculum. Also, due to the two-day holiday, citizens are deprived of emergency health services. I want to draw the special attention of the government to immediately reconsider this arrangement in sensitive sectors like education and health. In village schools, the number of students is very low, and the cost of students is increasing. Adjusting schools and making them residential schools seems to improve the quality of education. May the government pay attention to this.' MP Budhathoki alerted the government to expedite the process of adjusting public schools and said that the government should take appropriate initiatives to provide quality education and services in government schools.
