Bajura women busy harvesting rice

By Sher Bahadur Sarki, Bajura, Sept. 11: Women in Bajura are currently busy harvesting rice. Farmers here do not cultivate rice twice a year. They plant rice for the first time in Chait–Baisakh (March–May) and for the second time in Asar (June–July). The rice planted in Chait–Baisakh on dry land has now ripened and is ready for harvesting. However, it has been raining day after day, and the rainfall has not yet stopped.
