Supreme Court Issues Show Cause Order on Handcuffing Practices

Kathmandu. The Supreme Court has issued a show cause order on the police's working style of arbitrarily handcuffing arrested and detained individuals.

Justice Meghraj Pokharel's single bench has ordered the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Police Headquarters, and the Press Council Nepal to submit a written response within 15 days.
