MP Khagendra Sunar Alleges Corruption Against Police Chief Dan Bahadur Karki

Kathmandu. Ruling party Rastriya Swatantra Party MP Khagendra Sunar has drawn the government's attention by accusing the Inspector General of Police, Dan Bahadur Karki, of corruption. In Friday's House of Representatives meeting, MP Sunar alleged that the government has shown no interest even though the issue of corruption worth crores in the procurement of police supplies (socks, shoes, and clothes) has reached the Public Accounts Committee and other bodies.

MP Sunar questioned the government's style of functioning, saying, 'When ordinary accusations are made, other ministers are dismissed, but even when there are allegations of corruption worth crores against the Inspector General of Police, he remains in his post. What kind of justice is this?'
