Communist Party MP Barsman Pun Criticizes Government for Deviations in Governance, Accountability, and Citizen Safety

Kathmandu. Nepali Communist Party (NCP) MP and former Finance Minister Barsman Pun has criticized the current government for showing serious deviations in the issues of good governance, accountability, and citizen safety. Speaking in a special time during the House of Representatives meeting, he condemned everything from relief and disaster management to market inflation and the anarchic statements of ministers.

Complaining that relief has not reached the remote settlements affected by the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli floods, MP Pun said, ‘The government is only seen in helicopters in the sky and in Singha Durbar in Kathmandu. No roads, no bridges, no communication links? Victims are only being given assurances instead of relief.’
