Kathmandu. The floods in the Bhote Koshi-Trishuli rivers have severely affected Nepal's economy, physical infrastructure, and public life. The devastating floods have completely destroyed trade routes.
The country is struggling to emerge from the economic crisis caused by major natural disasters. Government officials estimate that rebuilding the physical damage caused by floods in riverine areas of districts including Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading will cost at least 4 billion US dollars.
