Over 700,000 Tourists Visited Mustang in 11 Months of FY 2082/83

More than seven lakh tourists have reached Mustang via the Beni-Jomsom road, passing through the northern areas of Myagdi, Raghuganga, and Annapurna rural municipalities, in the first 11 months of the current fiscal year 2082/83. According to the data of the Border Police Post in Ghasa, located at the border of Myagdi, seven lakh five thousand 754 domestic and foreign tourists entered Mustang from Saun to Jestha of the current fiscal year.
This number is equal to the 12 months of the last fiscal year. Ghasa, located at the entry point to Mustang, which is the only Beni-Jomsom road connecting Mustang to the national highway, records the number of tourists entering by vehicle. District Police Office Police Inspector Santosh Basnyal informed that in eleven months, four lakh 60 thousand 924 domestic and two lakh 44 thousand 830 foreign tourists entered Mustang via one lakh 51 thousand 160 vehicles. According to him, the highest number of tourists entered Mustang in Jestha with 27 thousand 488 vehicles carrying 90 thousand 939 foreign and 40 thousand 838 domestic tourists.
