Youth's Dismembered Body Found in Safety Tank in Mahottari

Mahottari. The dismembered body of a youth has been found inside the safety tank of a house in Banauta, Balawa Municipality 7, Mahottari. The body of Vivek Kumar Sardar, 22, son of Ashok Kumar Waatar, a resident of Bhangaha Municipality 6, was found. Vivek had gone missing on the evening of Bhadra 14 while returning home on a motorcycle from his sister's house in Pigauna, Jaleshwor Municipality 9. After the son went missing, the deceased's father submitted an application to the District Police Office, Mahottari, on Bhadra 16, requesting a search. While searching, the police recovered the brutally chopped body from the safety tank behind the house of Ashok Kumar Thakur of Banauta. The police have taken the homeowner Ashok Kumar Thakur, 58, his wife Ramkali Devi, 55, and daughter-in-law Sonu Kumari Thakur, 22, into custody for investigation of the incident. The police have also arrested Siaram Sharma, 37, a resident of Mahottari Rural Municipality 5, and have proceeded with further investigation.
