Climate Justice: Nepal's Stance on Loss and Damage

Climate change is the most serious global challenge facing human civilization today. Its effects are being felt worldwide. Global temperatures are rising, glaciers are melting, and glacial lake outbursts, floods, landslides, droughts, forest fires, and other extreme weather events are increasing.

However, the impact of climate change and the responsibility for it are not the same for all countries. Developed nations, after the Industrial Revolution, used large amounts of fossil fuels. Along with economic development and industrialization, their greenhouse gas emissions also increased significantly.
