Ward Candidate Arrested for Extortion Using Police Influence

Rautahat. A candidate for ward chairman has been arrested from Rautahat on charges of extorting one lakh rupees by misusing the name and influence of the police, promising to release a detainee.

Sheikh Husnain, a candidate for ward chairman of Garuda Municipality-9, Shripur, has been arrested and the police have started an investigation into the fraud case.
