Education Minister Participates in Curriculum Suggestion Program Amidst Controversy

Siraha. Controversy arose during a curriculum suggestion collection program organized by Aurahi Rural Municipality in Siraha when the Minister of Education and Sports, Sasmita Pokharel, participated. The controversy arose while Minister Pokharel, who was present as the chief guest, was addressing the program. The program was attended by Minister Pokharel, Members of Parliament Shiv Yadav, Purushottam Yadav, District Coordination Committee Siraha Chairman Dinesh Mahato, local government representatives, and teachers.

After the program's chairman Shivaji Yadav, when Minister Pokharel, who arrived late, was directly given the microphone to address, District Coordination Committee Chairman Mahato complained midway. According to Mahato, not only he but also teachers and other representatives present at the program expressed dissatisfaction regarding the opportunity to speak and the program's operation. However, some individuals who came with the minister accused them of insulting behavior, saying, 'This is not a program for politicians to speak.'
