Akabare Chili Cultivation Expands in Syangja

Syangja. Akabare chili has been cultivated commercially in Tarukhola, Waling-13, Syangja. Farmers have started commercial chili cultivation on land where food crops like paddy and maize were previously grown. More than 70,000 Akabare chili saplings have been planted on approximately 60 ropanis of land in Tarukhola.
The chili cultivation has been done commercially through Kedarnath Agricultural Farm under the agricultural development project being operated in Waling Municipality, said farm operator Dayaram Pathak. He stated that chili cultivation has been expanded because it yields better income than food crops like paddy and maize, and monkeys do not damage it.
