Pedestrian Dies After Motorcycle Collision in Banepa

Kathmandu. A pedestrian has died after being hit by a motorcycle on the Arniko Highway in Banepa, Kavre. Gyanlal Manandhar, 72, a resident of Banepa-7, died when motorcycle number Ba.65 Pa 4813, coming from Dhulikhel towards Banepa, hit him in front of the Ugrachandi petrol pump. SP Rabin Karki of Kavre told Ratopati that he died on Sunday morning during treatment at Annapurna Neuro Hospital in Kathmandu after being seriously injured in the motorcycle collision. He was hit by the motorcycle on Saturday evening while trying to cross the road. Motorcycle rider Rabin Ghising, 27, a resident of Mahabharat-6, Kavre, who was living in a rented room in Nala, Banepa-4, was also injured. Police said he sustained a head injury and is undergoing treatment.
