Indra Jatra Preparations Underway in Basantapur

Kathmandu. Preparations are underway to paint the Gaddhi Baithak in Basantapur and replace the chandeliers in the temples of Hanuman Dhoka Durbar area, targeting the upcoming Indra Jatra. The renovation and decoration work has been expedited with the objective of making the historical and religious heritage area organized and attractive on the occasion of Indra Jatra.

As part of the program, a new color will be applied to the exterior of the Gaddhi Baithak, and old chandeliers in the temples of the Hanuman Dhoka area will be removed and new ones installed. Photos: Nepal Photo Library
