Three Indian Tankers Safely Return with Over 8.6 Lakh Metric Tons of Crude Oil

New Delhi. Amidst the long-standing tension in the Strait of Hormuz, India has received great relief. Three Indian-flagged tankers, Desh Vaibhav, Desh Vibhor, and Sanmar Herald, are safely returning to India carrying more than 8.6 lakh metric tons of crude oil.

Union Minister for Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, wrote in an Instagram post, 'Safe passage found! Three Indian-flagged tankers Desh Vaibhav, Desh Vibhor, and Sanmar Herald, carrying more than 8.6 lakh metric tons of crude oil, including 94 Indian crew members, have successfully crossed the Strait of Hormuz today and are en route to India.'
