18-km cross-border transmission line under MCC completed

The Nepal-side section linking the 400 kV New Butwal Substation to the Nepal–India border has been completed, with the line now awaiting approvals and other steps before it can be energised.

The Millennium Challenge Account Nepal (MCA-Nepal), under the MCC Nepal Compact, has completed construction of the 18 km section of the cross-border transmission line, connecting the 400 kV New Butwal Substation to the Nepal–India border.
