Proposal to Extend Maternity Leave to Six Months Registered in Parliament

Kathmandu. A proposal of 'Public Importance Regarding Safe Motherhood' has been registered in the House of Representatives demanding that the maternity leave period for female employees and workers be extended from 98 days to 6 months.
The proposal has been registered by women MPs from opposition political parties demanding the implementation of the right to safe motherhood and reproductive health guaranteed by the Constitution of Nepal and health-related laws.
