Tej Songs Market Sees Decline This Year

Kathmandu. In previous years, as Haritalika Teej approached, the Nepali music market would be flooded with Teej songs. New Teej songs were released even before the month of Shrawan began. Teej tunes would resonate everywhere. From songs for dancing to humorous and poignant songs, they would liven up villages, party palaces, and digital platforms.

The atmosphere of Teej this year, however, is different from previous years. Not only have fewer songs entered the music market compared to past years, but the songs and music that have been released have not gained prominence.
