External support essential to reduce climate crisis: Minister Thakuri

Kathmandu, March 16: Minister for Forests and Environment, Ain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri, has presented the facts suggesting that Nepal endures significant impacts of climate change, and external aid was necessary to reduce impact.

In his address to a reception organised on Friday evening in his honour by the Nepali Embassy in London, the Minister said Nepal’s key areas, including agriculture and tourism, have been affected by climate change, and cooperation from development partners like the United Kingdom is needed to address the situation.
