Over 2,000 flee Yemen conflict to Djibouti

Kathmandu. The United Nations said on Sunday that more than two thousand people have arrived in Djibouti this week as the fighting between Iran-backed Houthi rebels and the Saudi-backed government in Yemen has intensified.

Tens of thousands of people have fled from here as the week-long Houthi offensive strengthens its grip on the strategic Bab al-Mandab strait by capturing the remaining coast of Yemen's Red Sea and some strategic islands.
