Sri Lanka embassy marks Int’l Tea Day 2026, celebrating 159 Years of Ceylon Tea Excellence

KATHMANDU, May 29: The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Kathmandu commemorated International Tea Day 2026 at a special function held at the Ambassador’s Official Residence under the theme “159 Years of Excellence in Ceylon Tea.” The event brought together senior representatives of the Government of Nepal, tea industry stakeholders, and distinguished guests to celebrate the longstanding heritage and global reputation of Ceylon Tea.
