Prachanda: No One Has the Right to Compromise on the Core Principles of the Constitution

Kathmandu. Coordinator of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has stated that no one has the liberty to back down from the core spirit of the constitution.

In a message of goodwill on the occasion of Republic Day, he said, "The Federal Democratic Republic ensured by the constitution of Nepal is a historic achievement of the long struggle waged by the Nepali people in various epochs, the sacrifice of thousands of martyrs, and their dedication and devotion. This system is not the property of any individual or party but a shared achievement of all Nepali people aspiring for change. Therefore, no one has the liberty to back down from the core spirit of the constitution or compromise on its values, principles, and achievements."
