Vegetable and Fruit Prices Skyrocket in Kathmandu Valley

Kathmandu. The prices of vegetables and fruits have skyrocketed in the Kathmandu Valley. On one hand, festivals, and on the other hand, citing the excuse of transportation disruptions due to floods and landslides, the prices of vegetables and fruits have seen an abnormal increase.

Shobha Maharjan, who went to the Jadeduti vegetable market to buy green vegetables for Teej, was stunned by the price of vegetables. She said, 'The situation has come where we have to buy one tomato, one onion, one cauliflower. It is not possible to buy by the kilo.'
