Congress Dispute Continues Amidst Conflicting Convention Plans

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress's working committee meeting held on Sunday decided to 'make necessary arrangements as per the constitution for the participation of former central committee members as members of the central committee before the completion of the special convention, while participating in the 15th general convention process'. This decision has raised widespread concern about whether it will resolve the party's internal problems.
The party has been embroiled in controversy since the special convention held in the last week of Push, led by former general secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma, amidst disagreement in the central committee. The working committee meeting made the latest decision in an attempt to find a 'meeting point' for the long-standing dispute.
