China's spy chief warns AI threatens national security

Beijing. China's intelligence chief has warned that artificial intelligence (AI) threatens the country's national security. He said on Monday that foreign powers could use this technology to threaten the social order.

Intelligence Service and Security Minister Chen Yixin wrote in an article published online on Sunday, “Rival powers” are misusing generative AI technologies to ‘spread political rumors and spread harmful information.’
